WorkShop Ever watch a group onstage and realize that one or two just stand out and grab your attention? We know they have “it”, even if we don’t really know what “it” is. Stage presence is defined by more than technical capability or great costumes. The best dancer without the right character interpretation isn’t the one the audience watches. The greatest singer who can’t physically interpret the song isn’t the one the audience wants to hear. And the most accomplished actor who doesn’t carry the character through into the movement is just a good storyteller. Actors, singers, dancers, acrobats – we’re all trying to present a character and tell a story. This workshop will help participants in their physical interpretation of their character, whether on the stage or in the air. Then, using the basics learned, participants will get to work their skills in interpreting characters from Alice In Wonderland! These fantastical characters are loads of fun to develop and play with. Johnny Depp had to start somewhere.
